Notes 27 July
Sunday Chivasangh - 27th Jul, 2025
Gurubhyo Namaha
On July 27, 2025, the Sunday Satsang at Mouna Mantappa marked the successful completion of 20 years of the SSB Foundation, under the guidance of Sat Shri Subramanya Shiva Balan Guruji. The event began with Guruvandane, Nirvana Shatkam, Panchakshari chanting, and silentation. The presence of Masterji elevated the spiritual atmosphere.
Masterji emphasized that struggles in life are unavoidable, but facing them with a calm and non-reactive mind is the key to inner peace. Such non-reactivity is true positivity, which leads to enlightenment. He cited Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi’s equanimity during surgery as a trait of an enlightened soul.
He explained the distinction between Enlightenment and Mukthi (liberation). While enlightenment can be attained through the Master’s energy alone, Mukthi requires both the Master’s divine energy and his Gnyana (wisdom). Energy strengthens but does not transform. Transformation happens only through the knowledge imparted by the Master. Without this, liberation is incomplete.
An enlightened person lives unaffected in the world and is at peace, whereas a liberated soul seeks to leave the material world and help others attain Mukthi. Osho and Lord Krishna were enlightened; Bhagavan Ramana and Lord Buddha were liberated. One must be enlightened before achieving Mukthi.
Masterji stated that to attain Mukthi, one must attend Satsangs regularly, where the Master imparts Gnyana. Enlightenment helps one live peacefully, but Mukthi ends the cycle of birth and death. He stressed that we are born not merely for enlightenment, but for Mukthi. For this, one must overcome the fear of death and detachment from the material world. When the mind dissolves (Mano Nasha), the distinction between good and bad disappears, and complete purity is achieved.
Masterji concluded by urging all sincere Abhyasis to attend Chivsanghs regularly and encouraged irregular participants to attend sessions in the Annex building. Only through consistent practice and the Master's presence can one truly progress toward Mukthi.
