Namachivayam

The Sunday Satsang commenced in a serene and spiritual atmosphere with devotional singing and silentation, setting the tone for a deeply introspective session. The arrival of the Enlightened Master elevated the ambiance further. He began by expressing concern over the Abhyasis’ lack of involvement in the Foundation’s welfare initiatives and emphasized the importance of functioning collectively as a **Sangha**, promoting **positivity through Chivality**. He reminded that a Master's displeasure, like a mother's anger, stems from love, not malice.
The central theme of the discourse was the **mind as the root of suffering**. According to Masterji, most suffering is due to **over-attachment to the mind**, not the soul. The mind intensifies pain through resistance and preferences. When one detaches from the mind and accepts life as it comes, suffering diminishes. He compared the mind to sea water – full of impurities – which, when evaporated through **meditation (Thapas)**, leaves behind only peace.
**Mastery over the mind** leads to a calm state of being, where **intellect takes charge**. He emphasized that the **intellect should grow**, not the mind. The intellect makes practical decisions, while the mind clings to desires and emotions. Spiritual progress requires the **cleansing of negative samskaras**, accumulated across lifetimes, which cause pain and obstacles (Kashtagalu and Sangashtagalu). **Liberation (Mukthi)** is possible only when one dies with a **completely purified mind**.
Masterji also highlighted that **memory is linked to suffering**—when one forgets, suffering disappears. The **mind's memory** causes attachment, while the **brain's memory** handles functional knowledge. True peace arises when the **mind is dissolved (Mano Nasha)**, enabling the intellect to operate independently.
Regular **meditation sittings**, sincere **practice of Chivality**, and **constant remembrance of the Master** help purify the mind and receive divine energy. He concluded by urging Abhyasis to live and die with an **empty, pure mind**, free from samskaras, and attain eternal peace.
