Notes 23-Nov
Namachivayam
Sunday Satsang - Nov. 23, 2025
The Sunday Satsang began in a serene and uplifting atmosphere filled with sunlight, cool breeze, and birdsong. The Abhyasis created a sacred ambience through the chanting of Guruvandane, Nirvana Shatkam, Panchakshari, followed by silentation. The arrival of the enlightened Master further deepened the sense of peace and devotion. Abhyasis honoured the Master on their birthdays and offered morning salutations.
Masterji began by saying that one should eagerly await Sunday Satsang after six days of separation, as true love for the Master naturally creates longing for his physical presence. He emphasised that God resides within every individual. Experiencing Him internally is spirituality, whereas seeking Him externally is religion.
Masterji explained that God is beyond the human mind, and only a purified mind can perceive Him. He stated that one should strive to embody divine qualities, becoming calm and peaceful like Shiva. Reacting to situations disturbs one’s peace, while remaining unaffected by ridicule or abuse signifies spiritual progress. Masterji also said the Atman within is always quiet, and one should learn to remain equally quiet and composed. Divine energy from the Master gradually purifies the individual, increasing tolerance and positivity. Complete purity and total non-reaction lead to Mukthi or liberation.
Adhyatmikathe, he said, is the rigorous inner practice of unveiling the purity already present within. When one remains undisturbed and blissful, one becomes Shivam. Using a cleansed mind in daily actions enables one to face adversity without reaction. He illustrated this with the example of forgiving a vegetable vendor selling spoiled produce, as the vendor is not at fault for natural decay.
Masterji stressed the need for introspection to assess one’s reactions to criticism. Patience and tolerance, especially when following a Guru’s repeated instructions, are essential qualities of spiritual growth. During emergencies, emotional reactions are unhelpful; a positive person takes appropriate action, such as seeking medical help.
He observed that modern society is filled with negativity, prompting positive individuals to seek solitude. Hence, the company of a Divine Master is necessary to cleanse the mind. While medical help heals the body, only a Guru can grant mental peace and thoughtlessness. For family harmony, all members must adopt positive conduct. True Mukthi requires total transformation, patience, tolerance, and constant remembrance of the Master.
