Notes 07-June

**Summary of Sunday Satsang – June 7, 2026**

The Sunday Chivsang was held in a peaceful and spiritually uplifting atmosphere, enhanced by meditation and the presence of the Enlightened Master. Masterji began the discourse by posing a profound question: **“Are we born to suffer or enjoy?”** He explained that both happiness (*sukha*) and sorrow (*dukkha*) are states of the mind (*manasu*). Human beings experience these dualities through worldly attachments and circumstances. Events that bring happiness today may become the source of sorrow tomorrow. Therefore, a spiritual seeker must learn to view both pleasure and pain with equal detachment.

Masterji emphasized that the mind is responsible for creating experiences of happiness and sorrow. Through the proper use of *buddhi* (intelligence or discrimination), one can transcend these dualities. When the mind no longer reacts to pleasure and pain, true peace (*shanthi*) arises. This inner peace leads to liberation and ultimately to union with the Universal Consciousness.

He described this Universal Consciousness as the **Divine Mother**, from whom all beings originate. Spiritual progress begins when one reconnects with this Divine Mother and realizes the truth of **“Tat Tvam Asi”** (“Thou Art That”). Such realization brings *ananda* (eternal bliss), which is different from temporary worldly happiness. While material happiness depends on external conditions, divine bliss is permanent and can only be experienced inwardly.

Masterji explained that material attachments and endless thoughts (*vicharagalu*) create a barrier between individuals and their divine source. The mind is filled with various *gunas* (qualities and tendencies), which must be transformed into a *nirguna* state, free from attributes and attachments. When thoughts diminish and the mind becomes *shunya* (empty), one naturally experiences the presence of the Divine Mother.

The role of an enlightened Guru is to help remove these mental impurities and guide seekers toward divinity. Constant remembrance of the Master, regular meditation, diary writing, and participation in satsangs help purify the mind and reduce negative vibrations. Masterji concluded by emphasizing that acceptance of the Guru and Truth is the foundation of spiritual growth. Divinity already exists within everyone, and Self-realization occurs when one perceives and experiences that inner divinity.
